While out shopping at Target the other day Kami, Natalie, and I were in the Target Dollar Spot. Oh how that little section makes us so happy. We came across these wooden hearts.
Darling huh?
We thought it would be fun to take one heart and show the different ideas each of us had. We also posted on Instagram and told you to run to Target and get one too. So, here is what I did.
First off, I removed the string. I didn’t need it so I filled in the holes with glue and glitter. You would never know the holes were there!
I painted the entire heart gold just in case the glitter didn’t completely cover the wood.
Then, using this glue from the Wood Connection, {it is the best glue ever and dries clear} I put a thin {yet thick enough} amount of glue to hold the glitter on one of the slats. I thought it would be easier to do one section at a time, and yes, it was. Then I applied my glitter. The glitter wasn’t anything fancy, just some glitter that I had on hand. I placed a piece of paper under the heart to catch the excess glitter and just poured the it back into the bottle after I covered each panel until I finished it. Finally, I allowed it to dry overnight.
Also, while shopping at Target I found the most adorable gift bags.
I made sure that they were a good size to frame and then cut the bags down to be framed.
For around $8 I had new, fresh Valentine Decor.
I already had the frames, the #4 (purchased from Etsy a while ago), and the mirror. I also picked up the cute arrow from Get Fancy Studio.
Wanna see what the other girls did with their hearts? Check Kami’s out here, and Natalie’s here!
They turned out so so so cute.
I also encouraged my followers to post theirs on Instagram.
Here is what ryaxmom did,
So stinkin’ cute.
I would love to see what you did. So, if you made one please tag me and I would be so happy to add your pic to this post!
